As a production intern at WXOW, my main job became creating promos to help promote CW shows, one of the station's network affiliates. Through this project I honed my skills creating graphic material in After Effects and gained experience writing a professional script to promote a specific show. It also allowed me to work independently on a project from start to finish using the skills I had learned to effectively use Premiere, After Effects, choosing music, and writing promotional scripts. My biggest project was the weekly menu board promos I produced. I created a :30, :20, :10, :15, and :05 second promo for each day of the week for the 4-8 pm time slot. Creating these CW promos gave me experience in time management, video production, graphic design, and producing consistent content for a specific brand.
